These terms apply when you use yurgenschembri.com, its free tools, and any digital products you buy from me. The site is run by Yurgen Schembri Xuereb, based in Malta. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you have a question, email info@yurgenschembri.com.
1. The free tools
The free utilities, such as the FIRE calculator, Secret Santa draw and Baby Name League, are provided free of charge, as they are. I try to keep them accurate and working, but I don't guarantee that they are error-free or always available. I may change or remove them at any time.
Please don't misuse the site, for example by trying to break it, overload it, or scrape it in bulk.
2. Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, legal or other professional advice. The FIRE calculator in particular produces estimates based on the figures and assumptions you enter. Real returns, inflation, taxes and expenses will differ. I am not a licensed financial adviser. Before making financial decisions, speak to a qualified professional.
The same goes for the journal: it shares my own experience and opinions, which may be out of date or not right for your situation.
3. Content and intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the writing, design, code and tools on this site belong to me. You are welcome to link to any page, and to quote short extracts with credit and a link back. Please don't copy whole pages or tools and present them as your own.
4. Buying digital products
Where you buy
I sell Claude artifacts and other digital products through third-party platforms (currently Payhip, and possibly Gumroad or Lemon Squeezy). The platform handles checkout, payment, sales tax and receipts, and its own terms and privacy policy also apply to your purchase. Where the platform acts as the reseller (merchant of record), your contract of sale is with the platform. Either way, I am responsible for the product itself and for supporting it.
The price, including any VAT, is the one shown at checkout. Your product is delivered as a download link, usually straight away.
What you need
Claude artifacts are designed to be opened and used in Claude, which needs a Claude account and, for some features, a paid plan. Your Claude account is not included. I am not affiliated with Anthropic. Claude's features change over time, and I can't guarantee that every artifact will keep working exactly as described after such changes, but I will try to keep supported products up to date.
Your licence
When you buy a product, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to:
- use it for yourself or within your own business or team;
- change and adapt it for that use;
- use anything you create with it however you like.
You may not:
- resell, share, give away or publish the product itself, or a modified version of it;
- include it in a template pack, marketplace listing or any other product that you sell or distribute.
If you want to use a product for clients or across several businesses, get in touch and we can agree a suitable licence.
Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content delivered straight away, that right ends once delivery starts, but only if you agreed to immediate delivery and confirmed that you understood you would lose the right to cancel. You will be asked to do this at checkout. If you were not, your 14-day right to cancel still applies.
Refunds and faulty products
If a product does not work or does not match its description, email me within a reasonable time. I will fix it, replace it, or refund you. Beyond that, because digital products cannot be returned, I do not offer refunds for change of mind once you have downloaded a product. None of this affects your statutory consumer rights.
Updates
I may release updates to products you have bought, usually at no extra cost, but I am not obliged to keep adding features.
5. Liability
The site and its tools are provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, I am not responsible for any loss arising from your use of the free tools or from decisions you make based on them, or for indirect or consequential losses of any kind. For a product you have bought, my total liability is limited to the price you paid for it.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under your statutory rights as a consumer.
6. Links to other sites
The site links to other websites, including the sales platforms and Claude. I am not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
7. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies. A purchase stays covered by the terms that applied when you made it.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and disputes go to the courts of Malta. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
For how your data is handled, see the Privacy Policy.
